Prof. Dr. Biagio SIMONETTI

Biagio Simonetti received his PhD in Computational Statistics. He currently holds the position of Full Professor at WSB Merito University in Gdansk (Poland) and serves as an Associate Professor of Statistics at the Università degli Studi del Sannio (Italy). His research primarily explores Multivariate Statistical Methods, with a special emphasis on Correspondence Analysis, particularly applied to the evaluation of Customer Satisfaction.

Simonetti contributes actively to the organization and program development of several key conferences in the fields of Multivariate Methods and Decision Theory. He has authored more than 80 papers that have been presented at conferences and published in high-impact journals such as the Journal of Multivariate Analysis, Journal of Applied Statistics, Communication in Statistics – Theory and Methods, and the Journal of Statistical Planning and Inference.

In addition to his academic roles, he is deeply involved in international relations for the Università degli Studi del Sannio, serving as the Rector’s delegate. His leadership extends to the broader academic community where he holds the position of General Secretary of the Italian Society of Tourism Sciences (SISTUR), coordinating several international projects that enhance the educational and cultural exchanges vital for academic growth and international collaboration.

Further enriching his professional contributions, Simonetti is an Associate Editor of the “Quality & Quality Journal” and the “Journal of Statistical Methods and Applications.” These editorial roles highlight his expertise and commitment to advancing research and scholarship in the field of statistics.
