On May 30 at 6:00 PM, an online meeting was held with Ms. Dorota Kropelnicka (Director of Quality and Development and Member of the Board) from Pronet Color®️. This is a manufacturing and service company operating in the paint and coatings industry. During the meeting, among other things, financial and accounting issues useful for students during simulations were discussed.

The event is organized as part of the “Management in a Virtual World” project implemented at the Faculty of Management and Economics of the Gdańsk University of Technology in the Erasmus+ program.

We are pleased to report that another inspiring meeting with a business representative took place on June 12, 2025, at 17:00 via an online platform. Our guest was Edi Pyrek — a mentor, writer, lecturer, traveler, and expert in strategic communication.

During the session, Mr. Pyrek shared insights from his multifaceted professional experience. He currently serves as a Visionary Officer at both the GAIA Foundation and the iMind Institute.

He is a co-founder of the iMind Institute, a private research center dedicated to unlocking human potential. Additionally, he is one of the co-creators, alongside David Hanson, of the GAIA Foundation, the Global Alliance for Intelligent and Compassionate Artificial Intelligence. The foundation is dedicated to promoting the development of ethical and responsible AI worldwide.

Exploring the Future of Humanity in the Age of Generative AI and Exponential Progress

The session with Edi Pyrek offered a thought-provoking exploration of the shifting role of humanity in a world driven by rapid technological transformation. It was a unique encounter with a mind that looks ahead of its time.

Key questions addressed during the talk included:

👉 From the agrarian revolution to AGI – how has humanity’s place in the world evolved under the influence of technological change?

👉 Are we prepared for a conscious adaptation to these emerging realities?

👉 How can neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and flow states be integrated into a vision for the future of individuals, organizations, and societies?

🧠 Edi Pyrek presented his original concept of exponential development and invited participants to reflect deeply: Where are we heading as humans – and do we have the agency to shape that direction?

🔸 The session was designed for those who seek to understand the world more profoundly — and who wish to take part in co-creating its future.


The presentation entitled “The Role of Start-ups in the Innovation Ecosystem” presented the innovation ecosystem from the perspective of a start-up, including defining the most important actors of this ecosystem. The CPS model (customer-problem-solution) was discussed in detail as a practical way to take the first steps towards creating your own start-up. During the presentation, the main mistakes of the originators in the initial phase of the start-up’s activity were listed. On the other hand, the participants were familiarised with practical advice and tips on the functioning of start-ups. In addition, the presentation included information on the advantages and disadvantages of financing a start-up from investments (venture capital) and from public funds (subsidies, grants).


As part of the presentation entitled “Engineering change management in the context of improving the quality and efficiency of processes”, the specificity of the engineering process of change management was discussed. During the presentation, the main characteristics of the process and the determinants of its implementation in manufacturing companies were indicated. The audience had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the concept of change management and engineering change management. During the presentation, the differences between the mentioned processes were indicated and the role of communication in project teams was emphasised. The entire presentation was supported by a case study, which indicated the benefits for the discussed manufacturing company.
