SÜLEYMAN DEMİREL UNIVERSITY
Süleyman Demirel University (SDU) has been officially established in 1992, is located in the center of Isparta, Turkey. It has been among the leading universities of Turkey in academic, scientific and technological fields with its rapid growth momentum in qualitative and quantitative fields since 1992, its foundation year. SDU; aims to be a university that inspires and directs by producing knowledge, art, technology, and service on a universal scale. As stated in it’s motto it aims to be “an inspiring university” in all fields. As of 2024 it has 14 faculties and 7 vocational schools. It has more than 50.000 students with 1829 academic and 2802 administrative personnel. SDU is a very strong university with 6 institutions and 48 research centers. The university has a Scientific Research Projects Coordination Department which is responsible for the projects done in the university. It also has a European Union Project Department which helps the coordination of Erasmus Projects.
The Career Center leads the students to find the right career for themselves. It also has a Technology Transfer Office which gives Entrepreneurship lessons to the start-up firms. One of the important aspects of the university is that it makes scientific breakthroughs in many fields such as Erasmus and Bologna processes, cooperation protocols between universities and international research projects carried out interdisciplinary. It also takes important steps towards internationalization by hosting foreign students from many countries, along with many ongoing projects.
