
Francesco Pepe is a full professor of Chemical Plants at the Department of Engineering of the University of Sannio. Previously ha was an associate professor at the same university and at the University of Bologna, and a researcher at the Università della Campania Luigi Vanvitelli. In his role he has taught a variety of chemical engineering courses at the University of Sannio (Department of Engineering), the University of Naples Federico II (School of Engineering), the University of Bologna (School of Industrial Chemistry and School of Biotechnology) and the University of Perugia (School of Engineering).
His scientific activity has mainly concerned the modeling of reactive and mass transfer processes in the context of environmental applications of chemical engineering, and led him to the publication of more than 100 papers on international journals, which have been cited more than 2400 times, with an H-index of 33 (Scopus® identifier: 7103383183). The research group that he coordinates is characterized by significant international collaborations, among which with the Zhejiang Normal University (Zhejiang, China), the Teesside University (Middlesbrough, UK), the Cranfield University (Cranfield, UK), the Yasouj University (Yasouj, Iran), and he has been visiting professor in a number of foreign universities (Zhejiang Normal University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China, Universidad de Oviedo in Spain, Abo Akademi in Finland).
Eventually, Francesco Pepe is also active as a consultant, working for public entities, among which the Campania Regional Government, the Provincial administrations of Benevento and Avellino and the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rome, and for a number of private firms.
